Horseradish contains the compound Sinigrin, a glucosinolate responsible for the root's pungent smell. (Sinigrin is also present in mustard and Brussels sprouts.) According to science, the presence of Sinigrin may afford horseradish a whole host of health-positive properties. Among them: Slowing the spread of certain cancers, reducing inflammation in the body, protecting the body against E. coli bacteria, delivering free-radical fighting antioxidants, and acting as an anti-fungal agent.

Truly simple sinus-clearing horseradish tea recipe:
Per serving, you'll need: 1 tablespoon of air dried horseradish, 1 cup water, lemon & honey.
- Simply bring water to a rolling boil
- Add horseradish and boil 5 to 7 minutes
- Strain into a cup,
- Add lemon and honey to taste,
