Simply open it up, shake the used tea out, and rinse well.

Very nice tea infuser. Perfect quality. The screen has tiny holes and the fit is secure when closed, so it's a good choice for keeping the tea out of your cup.
Part of the equation is the size of the tea leaves/particles. My current tea has a lot of small particles so some does get into the teacup. But I expect when using larger tea leaves this will not be a problem.

This tea was so good! Cinnamon and apple go so well together. Its the perfect blend of sweet and spicy. So warm and cozy!
